Induction Project Social Networking.

What is social networking?
Which are the most common
A little bit of history

Social networking has grown a lot over the years through the Internet. The Internet started social networking through sites such as bebo, MySpace and facebook. Other programs such as chat like msn focus mainly on chats rather than overall social networking. Social networking is basically a bunch of networks where people from anywhere can chat, and share their lives.

Facebook is the most dominant site; it is said that in July 2010, facebook had more 500 million members worldwide. Mark Zuckerburg founded Facebook in 2004 when he was in university and at first fellow students mainly used the site.
But after a while it grew to other universities and eventually for anyone over the age of 13.

Positives:
It can bring people from one side of the world to another.

Relief prints

· Relief Printing is when the ink sticks to the material your printing on, and when the section that isn’t being printed into the material is cut out of the matrix to make gaps between the paper and the matrix. Majority are done in black, although you can use other colours of which can work just as well.

· Intaglio acts the opposite to relief printing; the parts of the matrix that is printing stick out for the print rather than stay inwards. So the thing that is being printed on sticks out more to create effect. Here is an example of an intaglio print such as money printing.

· Plano graphic printing is done in a different way to relief and intaglio, it is done by mainly using water or light to make an image, therefore it is done in a simple way, and it is basic printing. It works on a principle that oil doesn’t mix with water.

· Stencil print is where you cut out the black parts of the image to form a print.

This is my dry point plate. it came out a bit blurred, so to solve this problem and to make it more noticeable i also adjusted the brightness so you can see more of the image. I didn't get to do a print because i was a bit behind. Next time i will be more up to scratch with my work.
